# Studies on the table

> The Good Peptides study shelf — The Good Peptides reading list: thymosin alpha-1 cell experiments, cancer trials and hepatitis comparisons.

**Reading list**

The cell experiments explain my interest in restraint. The human trials make the judgment harder. Both are here.

## Cells and tissue effects

Start with the [viral and bacterial stimulus comparison](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26096650/). Beside it sit the [regulatory B-cell experiment](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28273784/), the [bone-marrow-derived cell study of IDO](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21575365/), and the [mouse study of intestinal toxicity during CTLA-4 blockade](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32817121/).

## Cancer trials and synthesis

The [randomised metastatic melanoma study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20194853/) supplies the tumour-response and numerical survival findings. The [Cochrane review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21328265/) examines the wider trial record; the [lung-cancer phase 2 study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35870709/) follows radiation pneumonitis using historical controls.

## Hepatitis comparisons

The selection includes the [entecavir combination meta-analysis in HBV-related cirrhosis](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33076834/), the [peginterferon comparison in hepatitis B](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22726105/), and the [hepatitis C trial with different overall and completer results](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22233415/). For the molecule itself, the [precursor-cleavage study](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24288480/) describes generating mature thymosin alpha-1 from prothymosin alpha.
